Yesterday after I posted the blog entry about The Teapot asterism I started getting a large number of comments. Some of them appeared to be real and some were clearly spam. I couldn't imagine why someone would seek out my little tea blog just to post random spam in the comments. I was puzzled by the sudden increase in communication. I took a look at my visitor statistics and saw that there were nearly ONE THOUSAND visitors yesterday. I think it goes without saying that that isn't my typical readership.
Now I'm trying to solve the mystery of where all the readers came from. I'm not complaining about new readers, mind you, but the whole thing has definitely piqued my interest. It seems to be limited to yesterday so if anyone can explain what happened, I'd be very grateful.
