We spent the weekend in the French Alps, over at good friends' who are, by good chance, wine connoisseurs and collectors. My palate was first challenged and flattered with a Saint Julien 1984 Bordeaux wine.
Peter explained that although this was not an excellent vintage, he felt he also had to support the wine producers he buys wine from, by buying those not so good vintages. I think this is a great attitude indeed.
