My earliest memories of tea, are sharing this wonderful beverage with my great-grandmother. She served her tea with this teapot and with pretty floral china.
There is nothing better then when your elders give you the special gift of time and share family stories. Though my great-grandmother has passed, and the family stories lost in a young mind, the cherished memories of enjoying a cup of tea with a very special teapot, and a cup and saucer remain.
Another hobby of mine is genealogy. I'm tracing my great-grandmother's roots, to discover the possibility that the teapot, which is engraved "Made in England", is a family heirloom that traveled many, many miles to America.
