Six Hocking College summer interns participated in the 2006 Potter Olympic Games. A small crowd of those passing through the museum stopped to watch the students create pieces of art under deadline.
Led by museum assistant Paul Daniel, students were given three tasks - while blind-folded, create a piece of pottery in less than four minutes, throw the tallest piece in 20 minutes and create the best teapot in less than 30 minutes. Daniel teaches the potters wheel class and a raku workshop at the museum.
