The reality of Cuisine Quotidienne

A lot of blogs, and a lot of writing of all sorts for that matter, make cooking in France sound like a transcendent experience. And it is -- whenever I have at least an hour or two a day to devote to recipe planning, grocery shopping, cooking and the resulting cleaning. Some weeks, though, full-time work and my childrens' wild schedules get the best of me. This was one of them. Omelettes, plain rice, and take-out pizzas all made the menu this week. Food blogging? This week my biggest concern was food, period, and for working women that challenge knows no national boundaries.
