For being so close to Italy, the French aren't all that familiar with Italian cuisine. Many think
risotto is just a rice pilaf, but a number of cookbooks have come out recently that should dispel that misconception. I have been using
risotto by Solar press and every recipe is a winner. I'm noticing more and more risotto recipes in my cooking magazines, although I will have to pass on the recipe for chocolate risotto -- not as a dessert -- in the latest issue of
Vie Pratique.
