I worked on adding more content to the Tea Pages website, but alas Google Page Creator is giving me trouble. It keeps telling me it can't connect to save the page or to publish. Luckily I copied all the text to a Word Doc so I can just copy it in again later, but I had really wanted to get that page up today. Oh well. The 3 people who are viewing it will just have to wait.
It's a really rainy gray day here today. A day like this always makes me want to curl up on the couch with a good book. I was thinking last night about the book, The Shell Seekers, by Rosamunde Pilcher. This is one of my all-time favorite books and perfect for a day like this. The main character in this book, Penelope Keeling, is one of those women that I would love to be able to hang out with and have a good cup of tea. Okay. I know this sounds nuts and I know she's fictional. But she's one of those admirable older woman who is living the life she wants, regardless of what others think. She has a cozy house with a beautiful garden and, according to the search I just did on Google Book Search, there are references to drinking tea on 30 pages of this book. (My love for Penelope Keeling is much in the same category as my adoration of Miss Marple...Maybe I need to move to England and age about 50 years...)
Are there books out there that make you crave a cup of tea? I'm always looking for new titles so send them along!
