I have already written about the Picard frozen food chain and its excellent products. Their shops are a huge success in big cities, where no one has much time to cook but everyone wants to eat well. It seems to me the local outlet in Rodez is busier and busier, and during my shopping trip there today I was elbowed and jostled by quite a few weekend cuisinières in a rush. One easily associates frozen food with convenience, but Picard's recipes always make me want to cook more. And they make it a lot easier to do so.
